Customer Satisfaction

BOMBAY stands behind the quality of our products and will make things right if you are not satisfied with your purchase. We believe that we can work together with our customers to make every purchase a positive experience. Our shipments are carefully inspected before leaving the manufacturer, but in the event you are not satisfied with your purchase or have any concerns, please follow the guidelines outlined in BOMBAY’s return and exchange policy.

Returns and Exchanges

All returns require either an original or gift receipt for proof of purchase.

In-store purchase with a receipt:

Simply bring the item in its original condition and packaging, along with the original receipt, to any BOMBAY store within 14 days of purchase. Only products that can be sold as new will be accepted for return. Upon inspection, we will be happy to exchange the item, provide you with a gift card for the original purchase amount, or provide a refund in the form of the original method of payment.

Returns after 14 days or not in its original packaging are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Purchases on debit cards or credit cards will only be refunded to the original card. BOMBAY reserves the right to refund cash purchases with either cash, debit or a corporate cheque. A BOMBAY gift card will be issued for all returns refunded with a gift receipt.

In-store purchase without a receipt:

We will issue you a credit note at a value equal to the item’s lowest selling price in the last 60 days. No refunds under any circumstances. Items will be accepted for return only if still stocked in our stores. We reserve the right to refuse any return if original receipt is not provided.

Returning online orders to a store location:

You may return online orders at any of our store locations within 14 days. Please bring your packing slip with you to act as a receipt.

All returns must comply with our In-store Return Policy.

In the event you are not satisfied with your online purchase, please email customerservice@bombay.ca for directions.

E-mail inquiries will be replied from Monday to Friday during regular business hours.

Please provide the following:

  • Original invoice number (found on your packing slip, example: ORDER#18677)
  • The product code of the unused item, in its original packaging
  • The reason for return and whether you would like a replacement or merchandise credit.
  • IMPORTANT: Please do not send back orders before contacting us.

Items non-eligible for returns or exchanges:

  • Gift cards
  • Custom or Made to Order items, including custom upholstery and drapery
  • Final sale items or Floor Samples
  • Linens and pillows that have been opened, used, washed or tags removed may not be returned for hygienic reasons.
  • Items damaged through normal wear and tear
  • Shipping or delivery charges.

Custom Orders

Custom orders are made to your unique style and for this reason, all custom orders are final sale. An custom order may only be cancelled within 48 hours of placing the order. Any order cancelled after 48 hours will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Custom orders do not qualify for any price adjustments.

Price adjustments

If within 14 days your item is being sold at a lower sale price than your original sale purchase price, we offer a one-time price adjustment on sale prices. Adjustments do not apply to in-store promotions including but not limited to ‘No Tax Event’ & coupon offers. We will gladly refund the difference upon presentation of the item’s original receipt. Price adjustments will not be issued from a gift receipt, nor on seasonal merchandise which includes holiday décor, or on items originally purchased on ‘Clearance’, ‘As Is Final Sale’, ‘Floor Sample’ program and on Custom ordered items.

Return of seasonal merchandise

In-store Seasonal merchandise, including holiday décor may only be returned within 7 days from the date of purchase (receipt required), however will be refunded at the current selling price, even if lower (excluding promotional discounts). Holiday merchandise cannot be returned or exchanged after December 24th.

Online seasonal merchandise is final sale.

Gift Cards

BOMBAY gift cards may only be purchased with cash, Visa, Mastercard or by debit card to a maximum of $500. When redeeming a gift card, any unused balance will remain on the gift card. Change will not be provided for purchases made with a gift card. Gift cards are valid for BOMBAY purchases in Canada only and are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash or a cash equivalent, except as required by applicable law.
